Don Lennon - Radical
This album is super fun!Here is a fun line: "they can show corpses on TV, but not nude bodies." The music sounds like the 1950s to me.
There is a funk song called Secret Band, and he says the word "shh" in it!
It is pretty because there are jangly guitars and soft synthesizers.
Don Lennon is funny. He makes fun of hazing. "Every now and then somebody dies," he sings. And then he speaks "somebody dies!"
I don't like the serious songs- they aren't catchy. The serious songs don't make me cry the way the funny ones make me laugh.
When he sings fast and falsetto, and the chords sound bittersweet, and the beat is a certain way, it sounds too much like Belle and Sebastian.
There are some really long samples of his girlfriend talking. I think she sounds boring.
This album has 4 good songs you need: A Secret Band, Our Bodies, Hazing, and Young People Need Guidance.
